Concept: Launched in 2011, Seletti’s Palace collection revolutionized the architecture of table settings, putting ubiquitous plates in a whole new light. Italian designer Alessandro Zambelli created the series as an homage to Italian Renaissance and to 15th-16th century architecture. While designed as veritable centerpieces that become conversation starters, the tableware sets also put a focus on function. Their modular design allowed the user to stack them in neat towers and thus create the completed buildings. At the same time, this ingenious feature provided an easy solution to carry the plates and bowls and to save space on the table. In 2019, Seletti launched a new edition of the popular Palace collection, updating details while keeping the beloved design intact.
